Dehumidification Systems

Air conditioners that extract moisture from swimming pools are combined devices that limit the amount of moisture in closed swimming pools within a specific range. In addition to the function of removing moisture, they also enable heating of the pool area. When airborne water molecules come into contact with the cold surface of the evaporator, they quickly reach the dew point and form droplets that move down along the spiral plates, collecting in the drainage chamber. This process is constantly repeated, which leads to the purification of moisture from the air.

Devices for collecting moisture from swimming pools are manufactured in the structure of classic air conditioning units. The devices are manufactured with a modular frame system. The frame of the cell is made of galvanized steel profiles. The cell panels have a double layer, an outer layer of 1 mm thick galvanized steel and a painted steel sheet. Inside, galvanized, stainless steel or epoxy-coated sheets are used. Rock wool containing basalt and diabase is used between the two walls, which provides thermal and acoustic insulation thanks to its high density.

Moisture collection units consist of a moisture collection circuit which consists of a condenser, evaporator, compressor and expansion valve. The moist air is guided through the cold evaporator and the water drops flow from the blades into the drainage chamber. Dry and cold air is led through the condenser, raising the temperature of the intake air. If more heating is needed, additional heating via a heating coil is used. The unit to extract moisture from the pool uses fans directly connected to inverters. The automation system of the swimming pool units is fully integrated with the device. High-efficiency scroll compressors are also used.

What do Air Conditioning Units for Receiving Humidity from Swimming Pools do?

When temperature and humidity combine, the oppressive aspects of heat and the unbearable effects of humidity bother people more. Especially in closed spaces, humidity and temperature reduce the amount of oxygen in the air and increase harmful gases. In closed swimming pools, moisture, temperature and chemicals in the pool create various compounds that make breathing difficult. Air conditioning units for collecting moisture from swimming pools are used to maintain the relative air humidity at an acceptable level.

Humidity is an important factor that affects the storage life and processing quality of other industrial products such as paper and cellulosic materials. Pool plants are used to regulate the humidity of stored materials.

The long-term preservation and protection of valuable documents and monuments stored and exhibited in archives and museums depends on air humidity. High humidity accelerates the decomposition process. Moisture contributes to corrosion and accelerates the decomposition process of materials. Air conditioning units for collecting moisture from swimming pools keep the air drier, eliminating negative effects.

Where are air conditioning units used to collect moisture from swimming pools?

Air conditioning units for collecting humidity from swimming pools are combined devices that limit the amount of humidity in closed swimming pools within a specific range. In addition to the function of removing moisture, they also provide heating of the pool area. Thanks to the installed heating coil, water from the hot water production device is directed to the environment using fans. Airborne water particles, when they come into contact with the cold surface of the evaporator, quickly reach the dew point, forming droplets that move down along the spiral blades and collect in the drainage chamber. This process is repeated continuously, which dehumidifies the air. Additionally, hydrochloric acid in the air decomposes. Pool moisture removal units operate according to the temperature difference between the indoor and outdoor environments. When the outdoor environment is warmer than the indoor environment, moist air is removed outside and drier outdoor air is introduced into the indoor environment to achieve balance. In this process, the compressors are turned off, which leads to less energy consumption. The flaps mounted on the device regulate the amount of fresh and exhaust air depending on the difference in internal and external temperatures.

What are the Benefits of Using Air Conditioning Units to Collect Humidity from Swimming Pools Compared to Other Systems?

Central air conditioners are used in older swimming pool ventilation systems. Since they do not have the function of removing moisture, the air in the room is completely exhausted to the outside, and instead, fresh air from the outside is introduced. This replaces the more energy-efficient operation of the control panel. Especially in the transition and winter months, when the outside temperature is lower, this generates significant energy costs. The cooler air outside must be heated and brought inside. Air handling units for collecting humidity from swimming pools, thanks to the moisture collection circuit, operate in a way that allows heat to be retained inside, even in colder periods, without the need to introduce air from the outside.
